Is there an Irish curry?
Honestly, I have to admit I’ve never seen an Irish curry in a restaurant or a store; however, it is as authentic and delicious as Indian curry.
How did you come up with this recipe?
Our family loves one-pot convenience meals. The original Guinness chicken curry recipe was created by my husband, who is of Irish descent.
Since my husband was very happy with the original recipe, I decided to try a version from scratch with all-natural ingredients that we would feel better about eating regularly.
Old fashioned chicken curry
It is a common misconception that curry powder is the main ingredient contributing to dishes’ “curry” flavor.
A few teaspoons of curry powder certainly lend color and spice, but many different herbs are used. Cumin, coriander, and turmeric are probably the most familiar to us. The original Irish Curry Chicken Recipe was adapted from the popular Guinness chicken recipe.
Irish curry vs. Indian curry
Irish Curry Chicken Recipe is a lot of confusion about the difference between Indian and Irish curry. Honestly, I was confused until my husband explained the differences.
Indian curry
The difference is in the spices used in each of these recipes. Most Indian Irish Curry Chicken Recipe are made with a powder that combines up to 20 different herbs,
including cumin, coriander, ginger, red chile peppers, and cinnamon. This is what gives Indian curry its unique flavor.
