Rasmalai Cake Recipe is an Indian dessert cake made by combining milk with flour, sugar, cardamom powder, and rose syrup. This recipe originated in the city of Kolkata.

This is one of the traditional cakes I introduced to my friends at home. This easy dessert recipe can be made quickly anytime you want to serve something special for your family and guests.

 Rasmalai’s cake recipe is very delicious and easy to make. It can be found in any grocery store nearby your area, so it won’t be a problem to purchase the Ingredients. This cake is very soft and tastes good, so you will surely love it.

How To Make Rasmalai Cake Recipe?

Ingredients

  • Butter – 1 cup
  • Cream all-purpose – ¾ cup
  • Eggs – 4 nos or just as needed
  • Milk 2 cups
  • Flour 1 cup
  • Sugar ½ cup + 2 tbsp
  • Cardamom powder 2 tsp/ Cardamom Powder Chopped 2 tsp (only for garnish)
  • Rose syrup – ¾ cup or as needed powdered sugar – 4 tbsp

Prepare

Step 1. For the cake: Sieve the flour in a bowl and add powdered sugar, 1 cup chopped cashew nuts, rose syrup, cardamom powder, and mix well.

Step 2. Add eggs in it one by one and beat until becoming a smooth paste.

Step 3. Fry it in a frying pan with little butter until golden brown.

Strep 4. Reserve this for later use for decorating the cake.

Step 5. Take a pan, add the remaining butter and cream, and boil until the butter becomes double in quantity.

Step 6. Now cut the cake into diamond shape pieces keep it aside for later use.

Step 7. Add 2 cups of milk to a pan and boil it well.

Step 8. Mix flour, sugar, and cardamom powder in it and cook until it becomes thick in consistency(like dosa batter)

Step 9. Remove the pan from the flame and let it cool down.

Step 10. add this paste to your pan and mix well.

Step 11. Add boiled milk into this mixture and mix it well.

Step 12. Cook until become double in quantity again. (approximately 2-3 minutes) (it will make a double quantity of cake).

Step 13. In between, put some chopped cashew nuts on top and garnish with rose syrup & cardamom powder for taste.(see step 8 & 9).

Step 14. Put a ½ inch layer of this mixture on your plate, add a 2 inch layer of the fried cake pieces, and then put the second layer of mixture again. Put the third layer of moon dal on it. The remaining mixture will be added to make rasmalai again.

Step 15. Put some rose syrup, chopped cashew nuts, powdered sugar, and cardamom powder on top for garnish. (see steps 8 & 9).

Step 16. Please put it in the refrigerator for 2 hours and serve it chilled.

Step 17. Make some homemade Rasmalai for your loved ones.
